Being Close While Being Distant: Safe Professional Boundaries with Clients, with Colleagues

It is important for staff working in people related industries to appreciate and understand the complexities of safe professional boundaries. This workshop explores a number of themes which help to deepen knowledge and skills in working safely with professional boundaries.

Using a professional boundary framework the facilitator will explore boundary crossings and violations in the continuum of over- and under- involvement.

  • Day one focuses on the client – staff relationship.
  • Day two on collegial relationships.

Revisited & Extended: We now offer a follow up workshop for participants who have attented the intital two day workshop. In this second workshop participants will be invited to further explore issues of transference and counter transference in greater detail.
