Safe Professional Boundaries - Being Close While Being Distant

This multimedia, online training tool, developed by Davaar Consultancy, is interactive and comprises:

• short videos demonstrating boundary transgressions and safe boundary interventions (the videos include examples of boundary issues with clients and colleagues)
• a broad range of reflective questions which aim to increase self awareness in the area of professional boundaries
• a number of models and extensive theoretical content to further increase participant understanding about the complexities and importance of professional boundaries

This online tool offers the convenience of studying at your own pace. Study from home, office, while travelling, anywhere you have access to the internet.

Although the examples often use health professionals and health care settings, the content can be readily applied to a broad range of settings and professional roles including teachers, police officers, youth workers and administration officers.

Certification: Users register and complete all parts of the online learning. Responses to questions posed in the final section are then sent to Davaar Consultancy. A printed certificate confirming successful completion and where applicable, RCNA CNE points, will be mailed.
